About NaomiDate: Getting Started
So, NaomiDate is an international dating platform with 66K unique monthly visitors from all over the world. Everyone can join this community pretty easily (the procedure may be more complex for women, but we set up an account as a male user). Basically, you can sign up with your Google account or fill in the registration form with the following fields:

Currently, the free features available on the site are as follows:
- Profile customization. NaomiDate prides itself on the high profile quality and lets every user add as much information as they want to without spending a single credit. Members can also add multiple photos for free.
- Access to photos and profiles. When we joined the community, we could browse an unlimited number of profiles and see all the photos, as well as the Looking For and About Me information.
- Advanced search and the Like feature. The same goes for all the search features available on the online dating platform—using them is free and unlimited. There are some suggested profiles, but we can’t be sure that any sophisticated matchmaking algorithms are used. Nonetheless, both extended search and the Like swiping feature work well enough.
- Likes & favorites. These are the only free ways to contact someone on NaomiDate. Of course, you won’t have actual conversations with other members, but you can let them know you like them (in both cases, they’ll receive notifications), and our experience shows that around 20% of them will contact you first.

As you can see, though free users can learn enough about the community before they make their first purchase on the site, they still can’t find meaningful connections—various communication features available to paying members are just locked for free users. Still, we must admit we could make a more or less conscious decision after using the free version of the site. Though it may seem that all dating sites work more or less the same, each system has its own unique features and algorithms, and NaomiDate is no exception. For analytics and reviewers, there are three things that matter most, and these are the search algorithms, profiles, and ways of communication. That’s exactly what we’re going to discuss below.
Search
There are a few main ways to meet new people on NaomiDate:
- By applying basic and extended search filters. Both free and paying users can apply basic filters like age and online status or extended filters like body type, eye color, job, marital status, religion, the purpose of using the site, etc.
- By using the Like feature. The principle is simple—you see suggested matches, like profiles, or skip them to see more people who will meet your expectations.

Profiles on NaomiDate are really detailed. Once we browsed someone’s personal page, we could see the following:
- Basic information — name, age, location, date of birth
- Profile photos — usually, at least 5-7 high-quality photos
- Details — all divided into the three main categories, Appearance, Social Information, and Hobbies & Habits
- My Self-Summary & Who I Am Looking For — detailed descriptions written by a user
So, once we browsed one of the female profiles, we could see what a woman looks like, understand what she is looking for in a partner, and learn a lot about her life and interests. Basically, that’s what we usually expect from a reliable platform aimed at connecting you with the right person.
Communication
NaomiDate offers two communication tools—members can either start instant chats or send Letters. You’ll see the Start Chatting and the Write a Letter windows on top of the profile picture if you visit a member’s personal page. Also, there’s the Say Hello button on the right of basic information about the user (name, age, and location), and if you press it and choose a message, you’ll start a chat.

As for the standout features, here are a few things that distinguish NaomiDate from many other dating platforms:

- Similar profiles. Once you browse someone’s profile, you’ll see similar matches, and we noticed that not only women’s appearances are more or less similar. These members also had similar backgrounds and relationship goals.
- The Like feature. Though swiping isn’t something extraordinary, not all websites designed to connect people seeking serious relationships have this feature, which may be pretty helpful when you think that you’ve already seen all the profiles on the site.

Our User Experience on NaomiDate
The only way to get valuable insights is to test the service and communicate with real members. That’s why we didn’t just buy credits—we actually spent them on conversations, and our main goal was to contact as many users as possible, evaluate the user base, understand the actual expectations of women on the site, and see what the experience is like for members overall.
The first thing that we noticed was that the community was really active. On a regular site, a user with a good profile (actually the same that we had on NaomiDate), the response rate ranges from 50% to 70%. On NaomiDate, the response rate was around 80-85%. Of course, not all of those conversations lasted for more than an hour, but it’s still a good rate. We contacted around 20 women in total and kept talking with 4 of them regularly.
We asked all about their relationship goals, occupation, and marital status. Only 3 women of all users we contacted were divorced, and the rest were never married. 17 were looking for something serious, and only 3 were planning to “go with the flow.” All of them were also students or employed professionals.
