The easiest and the most reasonable way to contact someone is to start a chat on the profile page after you've learned enough about the user. You can click Wink, and that will be free, or click Say Hello and send an automatically generated message with an emoji, which will cost you 2 credits. If you prefer Mails, you can switch from Live Chat to Mail service with just one click. Also, a user can contact members right from the Search Results page or when using the People feature. If you want to contact someone you see on the Feed, you need to go to a profile first. Both main communication tools work pretty well and let you exchange media files, stickers, and emojis. Most women message back, and many do it pretty soon, which improves the experience, too.

Our Experience on the Site 

So, as we’ve mentioned previously, we bought 750 credits and spent them on communicating with as many women as possible. Our main goal was to find out how women act on what they are looking for, analyze the activity rate, and evaluate the chance of finding a partner. 

We contacted around 30 different women from different target groups classified by age and purpose of using the site. Our experts tested different communication features, and free winks turned out to be the least effective (around 30% response rate), Say Hello pre-made messages worked in half of the cases, while custom first messages worked in around 85% of cases. 

Another important conclusion we drew was that most women are seeking serious relationships, though the site is promoted like a platform that works for all, including people who are just looking for new friends and cross-cultural communication. We also paid attention to occupation—most women were employed, while the rest (from a younger age group) were students considering finding foreign partners. 

Generally speaking, we had a positive experience on the site—most women expressed genuine interest in us and a conversation, asked questions, and seemed to be motivated to find a perfect match on the site. We were ghosted a few times, but it was rather an exception than a rule. We also met one woman who seemed fairly suspicious, as she obviously wanted things to move too fast, and we blocked her just because it was a big red flag

1. Conversations that don’t go anywhere. Some men note that women they’ve met on the site were ready to discuss things from weather to job opportunities, but those conversations didn’t really go anywhere, and they failed to find a girlfriend despite paying for multiple conversations. That, unfortunately, is a common situation on the online dating market, and in this case, we’d recommend men ask a woman directly about what she expects to find on the site and just move on if they notice that she’s not actually interested in a relationship and just wants to chat. 
2. Women selling nudes. There were also users who said that there were women who shared their explicit photos on the site to receive money. Note that this is not a real woman but a scammer—if you receive such an “offer,” block this user and report scams. 
3. Too high prices. The largest number of negative comments were about high prices, and as we’ve noted previously, Romance Tale definitely doesn’t fall under the category of cheap or even affordable sites. There are ways to cut costs, though. We’d recommend using the site only if you have specific criteria and priorities and are going to communicate only with women who meet them. Again, it’s also about the skill of not spending credits on conversations that go nowhere and choosing the most cost-effective features (for example, some would pay less for instant messages, and some would spend less on Mails). 
4. Fake bride scam. Some users assumed that they’d met fake women as they found their photos on other dating sites. That’s a real scenario, and we’d like to emphasize that on any website, you can meet such a “bride.” Be cautious, double-check the photos, and ideally, exchange some videos and recent photos with a girl to see if she’s real.

Automatic Top Up is a special feature that lets users automatically buy more credits when they hit the minimum limit, for example, 5 credits (you can set any limit). If you want to turn it off, you need to go to your Profile Settings (just click on your profile picture to find the right link), choose Billing, find the Automatic Top Up button, and if it’s on, switch it off.

How to Delete a Profile

Members can choose between two options—they can deactivate their accounts or permanently delete them.

1. Choose between live chat and Mails—one of these features is likely to make better value for money depending on your communication style.
2. Don’t watch too many videos and send virtual gifts—they cost more credits than chatting, so don’t get too emotional.
3. Be more selective overall—choose only the best matches, not only women who look like top models. There are many attractive girls who turn out to be more active on the site.
4. Use winks and likes as free communication tools—a woman who’s really interested in you will at least send you a wink, too.
5. Turn off top-ups—it doesn’t feel good to be interrupted when chatting with someone, but being overcharged doesn’t feel good, either.
